Katie Lee Hammock Baker, 72, passed away, Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Evans County native lived most of her life in Glennville. She loved to fish and spend time with her family and friends. She was a member of Glennville Free Will Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otis Jack Hammock and Martha Kate Smith Durrence, Sons Davis and Gerald Stanfield, and Brother Alvin Hammock.
She is survived by:
Husband of 25 years, Willie Joe Baker of Glennville
Daughter: Lisa Stanfield of Kingsland
Sisters: Zelta Jackson of Daisy
Nancy Moore of North Carolina
Jacquelin Richardson of Ellabelle
Linda Hodges of Jesup
Brothers: Gene Hammock of Glennville
Joe Durrence of Jesup
James B. Durrence, Jr. of Macon
James H. Durrence of Waycross
One Grandson: Tyler Stanfield, several other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 8, 2013 a Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Chapel of Brannen Kennedy Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Barnard officiating. Burial will be in Beards Creek Church Cemetery.
