Randy Morrow
BORN: April 4, 1955
DIED: November 8, 2012
LOCATION: Georgetown, Texas

Randy Lewis Morrow, 57, of Georgetown, Texas walked from earth into eternity Thursday, November 8, 2012, after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Randy was born April 4, 1955, in Fayetteville, North Carolina to parents Velma Sanford and M.L. Morrow. He married his high school sweetheart, Robin Elaine Hite, November 25, 1978 in Vernon, Texas. Along with his wife, he is survived by his beautiful and courageous daughters Megan Kathleen and Meredith
Randin.

Randy graduated from Vernon High School, he attended Texas Tech University, receiving his degree in Parks and Recreation. Randy was a steward of community service and served the City of Georgetown for 21 years. He felt privileged to serve such a dynamic and growing community; his vision and passion helped create a National and State Award winning parks and recreation department, with a trail system that unites our city.

On behalf of Randy, his family would like to sincerely thank his medical team: Dr. Benjamin Downie, Dr. Shannon Cox, Dr. Anant Patel, and the entire devoted staff at Georgetown Cancer Center, Lighthouse Hospice, and Ramsey Funeral Home. His family would also like to acknowledge the many friends who have loved Randy and his family and walked alongside them through this journey.

A celebration of Randy's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, November 11th at First Baptist Church in Georgetown. A reception will follow in the church's
Collide Room. Randy will be forever missed and eternally loved.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Randy Morrow Memorial Scholarship Fund, honoring a Georgetown East View High School senior planning to pursue a degree in Parks and Recreation, A+Area Teachers Federal Credit Union, P.O Box 14867, Austin, Texas 78761, and First Baptist Church, Georgetown, Texas.
