He married Stephanie Safranek on Dec. 22, 1971 in Pine Bluffs.
Mr. Butler was a member of numerous aviation organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Stephanie Butler, sisters Nancy McWilliams of Pine Bluffs and Elizabeth K. Wiedenhaft of Carpenter.
Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton L. and Catherine Ann Butler.
