Frank Stafford Ross was named for his maternal grandmother Elizabeth STAFFORD Moles.

His obituary, published in The Marion Sentinel on May 18, 1893, states that "He was the son of J(ames). G. and A(nn). J. Ross..."

This is Frank Stafford Ross (1862-1893) who was the first husband of Dora Edith Schultz Ross not her son. Dora and Frank had two sons, Harry Schultz Ross (1886-1969) and Frank Seigal Ross (1891-1969), also a daughter, Dora Cecil Ross 1889-1967).
Dora Edith Schultz Ross married Frank's younger brother William in 1895, two years after Frank died. Their were no issue from the second marriage.
