Larry Kevin Mallard, 55, of Idaho Falls, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, from a brain tumor on August 4, 2013. He was under the care of his loved ones and Hearts for Hospice.

Larry was born April 20, 1958, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Warren Quincy Mallard and Rea Guelda Harker Mallard. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from at Idaho Falls High School. Following high school he served a full-time LDS Mission to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

On October 24, 1981, he married Pamela Chipp in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls, where they raised their four children, Brent, Travis, Sheldon, and Kiley. Larry worked in maintenance for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and for Walmart.

An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in various capacities over the years. Larry liked to serve and help others. He enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 32 years, Pam Mallard of Idaho Falls,

Son, Travis (Fiancee, Megan Blomquist) Mallard of Idaho Falls, ID,
Son, Sheldon (Deanna) Mallard of Casper, WY;

Parents, Warren & Rea Mallard of Idaho Falls, ID;
Brother, Douglas Mallard of Idaho Falls, ID;
Brother; Steven Mallard of Ogden, UT;
Sister, Rozanne Green of Lewistown, MT;
Sister, Nancy Beckstead of Pocatello, ID;
3 grandchildren, Keygan, Jayden, and Cooper.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a sister-in-law, Peggy Mallard.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013, at the Idaho Falls LDS 3rd Ward, 2025 Jennie Lee Drive, with Bishop Carroll Perkes officiating. The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
