Stuart Edward Anthony King was born August 31, 1913 in Buffalo, New York to Charles Stanley and Margaret Stoddard King.

Stuart lived much of his life in Brooklyn, New York. He shared his life with Josephine Cuccia King and Kitty Gregory King.

Stuart cherished his time with his family, especially the children. He served with the National Guard, worked with Singer Sewing Machine in Manhattan and was instrumental in determining transportation logistics for the government during the war years. Shop Rite was his final corporate job.

During this time, he also was an Episcopalian lay reader. Volunteer work consumed his later years as he dedicated his time to the Men's Halfway House of San Antonio, the San Antonio State Hospital and the state prison system. Stuart loved photography and spent endless hours shooting nature, weddings, graduations and his family. His final years were spent at Kirkwood Manor in New Braunfels where his smile and commanding blue eyes hypnotized the staff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and five sisters; son-in-law, Dr. Richard Nacewski; and grandson, Keith Levine.

He is survived by his five children; Jacquie King Nacewski, Charles King, Claudette King LaRussell, Stuart Michael King, and Elizabeth King Armstrong; nine grandchildren and their spouses; Richard and Debbie Nacewski, Jennifer and James Weichert, Mark and Daisy King, Vincent and Susie Nacewski, Anita and Bill Dakin, Valerie and George Ehrhardt, Candy and John Roos, Rebecca King, Danneyelle and Shawn Holcomb and 18 great-grandchildren.
