97, of Lincoln, died Sunday, June 30, 2013. Born December 3, 1915 in Dakota City, NE to George and Neva (Best) Heikes. Retired counselor, LPS, Acting Director of Scholarship and Financial Aids, and taught at UNL. Preceded in death by her husband Urban, they co-founded Alpha Gamma Nu fraternity (Ag Men) on the UNL campus and were Faculty advisors for 35 years. Member of Omicron Nu and Phi Upsilon honoraries, Lincoln Garden Club, UNL Nebraska Arboretum Board,. She was honored to be named National 4-H Club Health Champion at age 16.

Service: Memorial Service: 2:00 pm Friday (7-5-13) Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 ‘O' Street, Lincoln, NE with Rev. Dennis Hanneman officiating.

Cemetery: Private family burial.
