Age 92, formerly of Erie, a daughter of the late Otto and Bertha Fiedler Steinbarth.

She was a 1934 graduate of Strong Vincent High School in Erie. In 1941 Ella Marie was married to Rev. Walter F. Rueger. Together they served the Lord faithfully in Lutheran congregations in Trenton, N.J.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Easthampton, Mass.; Buffalo, N.Y.; and Horseshoe Bend, Ark., until his death in 1980. She will be long remembered for the beautiful church banners she designed and created. Ella Marie worked as a secretary in various offices throughout her life.

She is preceded in death by her husband and by one son, Lt. Cmdr. (Ret.) Walter C. Rueger, and by her sister, Clara Avery.

She is survived by daughters: Leah Schoenbohm of Appleton and Miriam Rueger of Birmingham, Ala.; daughter-in-law Maria Rueger, Nashville, Tenn.; granddaughters; grandson; one brother, Ted Steinbarth, Erie; and several nieces and nephews.

She will join her husband and parents at Lakeside Cemetery for Burial.
