Jon Christopher Broaders Sr., born on February 27, 1972, was the youngest of four sons born to Beverly Ann Broaders and the late Jimmie L. Broaders.

Jon attended Austin Public schools where he graduated in 1990 from L.B.J. High School.

As a child, Jon participated in little league football, basketball and baseball; he also played football and ran track in high school.

After high school, he began his twenty year career with the City of Austin, working in various positions and campuses. His most recent position was with Austin Energy where he worked in the inventory supply warehouse.

Jon was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie L. Broaders, his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Jon received the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and became a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church where he was baptized by Pastor G. V. Clark.

Jon leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted mother, Beverly Ann Broaders; four children, Jade, Jakob, Jordyn and Jon Broaders, Jr.; three brothers, Jimmie, Jerry, and Jeffrey Broaders (Andie); aunts, Earnestine Jeans, Joyce Harris, Roaslyn Lyles, and Eva Williams; uncles, James Lyles and Larry Lyles; nephews, Jeffrey, Jace, Brandon, and Solon; nieces, Tasha, Davia and Aeris; special cousins, Carlos Brown, Carmine Brown, Chris Onwukaife; many other cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
