JACOBY, John 'Jake'
Jake was born February 17, 1927 in Pottsville PA, and passed away July 4, 2013 at the age of 86. He passed at home in Elk Grove CA with family by his side. Passing on the 4th of July was fitting for a man who served his country. Fireworks in the sky that night were a wonderful tribute to him.

Jake entered the Army at a young age and served in Korea and Viet-Nam, retiring in 1967. He then began working for the state of California, retiring in 1985 as food services supervisor at the Highway Patrol Academy in West Sacramento. He loved fishing for sturgeon, striped bass and salmon in the Sacramento River at Freeport.

Jake is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Mae, and 4 children, Tony (Terry), Roger (Mary), Donna (B.B.), and Mark, 6 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by the untimely passing of granddaughter Kathy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
