Alexander Montgomery turned 1 Wednesday, two days following his father’s death in Iraq.Lance Cpl. Brian Montgomery, 26, served beside his brother in the battalion. Eric, 21, will be escorting his brother’s body home, his family said.Before leaving in January, Brian Montgomery hugged his father.“Don’t worry, Dad, I’ll be coming back home,” Paul Montgomery recalled his son saying.“I’ve never seen a man more patriotic than him,” he said.Brian Montgomery joined the Marine reserves in June 2002 and lived in Mentor with his wife and son.He graduated from South High School in Willoughby in northeast Ohio in 1998.

Dens-more and the late Harold W. Densmore, and the late Leonard H. and Meta Sloan. Interment Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chesterland. Family will receive friends at the McMAHON-COYNE-VITANTONIO FUNERAL HOME, 38001 EUCLID AVE., WILLOUGHBY, MONDAY 2-4 AND 6-9 P.M. AND TUESDAY 2-4 AND 6-9 P.M.
