Ena M. Wilkie, 95, formerly of Rolla, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, in Tacoma (Wash.) Care Center.
Ena M. MacKay was born Sept. 26, 1905, the daughter of Alexander and Margaret (Johnson) MacKay, in Rolla. She grew up in Oxford Township, Rolette County, N.D. She attended school in Oxford Township and high school in Rolla. She attended college at Minot Normal School and Aberdeen (S.D.) Normal School. She taught school in Mylo, Ackworth Township, Oxford Township and Rolla. She married Gerhart Wilkie on June 19, 1939, in Rolla. They lived in Rolla and farmed in Oxford Township. In 1961, they moved to Rolla. Gerhart Wilkie died Dec. 25, 1994. She moved to Olympia, Wash., in 1995.
She is survived by sons, Gerry (Kathy), Rolla, and Tom (Sandra), Aberdeen; daughters, Margo (Rod) Kaleva, Lacey, Wash., and Shirley (Barry) Dunn, Olympia; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers; and two sisters.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday, First Presbyterian Church, Rolla.
Visitation: 3 to 9 p.m. today, Niewoehner Funeral Home, Rolla, and one hour before services in the church.
Burial: Rolla Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Park View Manor or First Presbyterian Church, both of Rolla.
