Sara Lehman, age 52, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2001. Sara is survived by her husband of 29 years, Jon B. Lehman of Albuquerque, daughters, Heather Blakeley and her husband, Shawn of Fort Collins, CO, Tania Hammond and her husband, Jedidiah and Erin Lehman all of Albuquerque, grandchildren, Ethan, Ezekiel, Ernest and Asher, sisters, Linda Fredericks and her husband, Bill of Modesto, CA, Debi Wess and her husband, Hartley of Albuquerque, Molly Pickering and her husband, Nigel of Tulsa, OK and Peggy Sumpter and her husband, Mark of Glenelg, MD and numerous nephews, nieces, family and friends. Mrs. Lehman received a Bachelors of Arts in Language studies and a Masters of Library and Informational Science. Sara taught Spanish and was a librarian at Hope Christian School. Mrs. Lehman was a member of the Beta Phi Mu Library Sorority, an active member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was very active in the community as well. Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE on Wednesday, January 2, 2002 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family prefers memorial contributions be made to the Sara Lehman Memorial Fund, c/o NM Educators Federal Credit Union, 6501 Indian School Rd. NE, 87110, or any of their other locations.
