DR. TIMOTHY E. SPENCER, died May 10th at his Collierville home. He was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the late Thomas Eugene and Wilma Moss Spencer. Dr. Spencer served in the US Air Force in Oral Surgery and Hospital Dentistry during Operation Desert Storm. He was Honorably Discharged as a Major. He later served as Commander in the US Navy in Norfolk, VA and also in Millington. Dr. Spencer was a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi and the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry. Dr. Spencer retired from private practice in Olive Branch, Mississippi, earlier this year. He enjoyed Taekwondo, hiking, fishing, canoeing and playing guitars. Dr. Spencer is survived by two daughters, Kayla Ann Spencer, Holly Elaine Spencer Canale, his siblings, Tiffany Furey, Judy Spencer, Christy Bennet, Cindy Turnbeville and Greg Spencer. The family will receive friends Friday at 9 a.m. with service at 10 a.m. in the T. Carl Rutledge Memorial Chapel of Collierville Funeral Home and interment at West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery. A reception brunch will be provided. Memorials can be made to Hope 4 Sudan Mission c/o Christian Heritage Church in Germantown.
