Janie Gibson Ford, 99, of the Dunbar Community of Georgetown County, died Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at Prince George Nursing Home. She was the widow of Deacon Henry Ford Sr.
Mrs. Ford was survived by a daughter, Lila Ford Grimmage of the Lanes Creek Community; two sons, Jessie Linen of the Dunbar Community and Henry Ford Jr. of Baltimore, Md.; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in the Dunbar Community. The Rev. Dr. Eddie Gamble Jr. officiated.
Burial, directed by Linen-Knox Funeral Home, followed in the church cemetery.
