Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday August 6, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Brookfield, with Father Gregory Tigga officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Brookfield. Rosary will be said at 5:30 pm Monday August 5, 2013 at the church with family receiving friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Memorials have been suggested to the Brookfield Ministerial Alliance, or Immaculate Conception Church and may be left at the church or sent to Rhodes Funeral Home, 216 Linn Street, Brookfield, Missouri 64628.
Alice Frances, daughter of Bernard L. and Bridget Ellen Kelly Carey, was born on September 19, 1912, in Chariton County, Mo. She was united in marriage to Charles Edward Garvey on September 25, 1943. She is survived by her children; Michael B. Garvey and wife Sara, Denis Garvey and wife Barbara, all of Brookfield, Bridget Gillespie and husband Jack of Lawrence, Ks., and Thomas Garvey and wife Renee of Overland Park, Ks.; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles; one great-grandson; three brothers and three sisters."
