Honea Path - Dennis Marvin Brock, Sr., also known as "A. C.", "Pop", and "PeeWee", 80, husband of Dorothy "Dot" Adams Brock, of 202 Orr St, died August 2nd, 2013 at Rainey Hospice House in Anderson. Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Dewitt Talmadge and Ressie Campbell Brock. He was a member of Honea Path Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a member of the Belton Rescue Squad for 22 years, and a chaplain for the squad for 5 years. He was also a truck driver, retired from Infinger Transportation Company. He was also a member of the Monday Night Pickers, the Crystal River Band, and an avid bluegrass picker. He was a veteran of the US Army. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are three sons: Dennis M. Brock Jr. and wife Sharon of Clarksville IN, Kenneth Brock and companion Alicia Hughes of Honea Path, and Ronnie Brock and wife Tammy of Belton; one brother: Waymon Brock of Honea Path; one sister: Joyce Cowart of Belton; eight grandchildren: Jody Brock of Belton, Casey Bright and husband Kenny of Williamston, Alicia Brock of Belton, Angel Hughes of Honea Path, Shawna Poulter and husband Dennis of Clarksville, IN, Joe Lee and wife Nichole of Mt. Pleasant, John Lee and wife Felicia of Anderson, and Jennifer Crowe and husband Shane of Easley; and special friends: Douglas, Donnie, and Chris Cannon. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Jason, Roy, and Ray Brock; and one sister: Gladys Whitt. Burial with military honors at the Garden of Memories. Pruitt Funeral Home.
