RICHMOND, Ind. - Donna Knox, age 49, of Richmond, entered the gates of Heaven on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at University Hospital in Indianapolis. Born August 7, 1963, in Lebanon, Indiana, to Donald Ray and Kathryn Ann Scher Ross, she lived in this area most of her life. Donna was a 1981 graduate of Richmond High School. She attended the John Herron School of Art at IUPUI. Donna was a very loving and creative person. Her family was always very important to her. Donna enjoyed boating and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very 'involved' mom, helping her children with their sporting events. Donna was an excellent role model for her family and all those who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of over 30 years, Charles W. Knox Jr. 'Chuck', to whom she was married February 26, 1983, in Richmond; two daughters, Heather Quinn (Andrew) Hart of Richmond and Alyke Drew (Cody) Monroe of Middleburg, Florida; four grandchildren, Liam, Aiden, Hadley, and Cuyler; two brothers, James (Barb) Witte of Fishers and David (Tina) Witte of Bloomington; sister, Jennifer (Andy) Cohen of Fort Wayne; mother, Kathryn Ann (James) Witte of Richmond; father, Donald Ray (Lane) Ross of Fort Wayne; nieces; nephews; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Pauline Ross; maternal grandmother, Maxine Scher; and her mother-in-law, Millie Knox.
Visitation for Donna Knox will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond.
