Services in Mountain Home, Idaho were held on Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel. There will be a second service in Melanie's hometown of Haughton, LA at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park.
Melanie was born July 29, 1982, in Bossier City, LA, the daughter of Ricky and Jerrie Glasgow. She attended Haughton High School and graduated from Louisiana State University of Shreveport. She was a loving wife and mother of two beautiful daughters. Melanie worked with Community Partnership of Idaho and had a heart of gold which touhed the lives of everyone privileged enough to cross her path.
Melanie is survived by her husband, Luke Brown, and daughters, Katelyn and Emmalee, all of Mountain Home AFB; father, Ricky Glasgow; sister, Megan Wade and husband Joe; and grandfather, Quinton Glasgow, all of Haughton, LA; mother, Jerrie Sewell; step-father, Kenny Sewell; brother, Chance Glasgow, of Mooringsport, LA; brother-in-law, Mike Brown and wife,Laurie of Jacksonville, FL; sister-in-law, Tiffany Jeffries and husband Bret of Greenwood, NE; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Melanie leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. Her smile and compassion will be truly missed by everyone who knew her.
