Albert was well educated - Mansfield State Normal School and Cornell University. He was a well respected teacher in the Tioga County, PA, area as well as New York. He was also a principal in both Chenango Forks, New York and Mansfield, Tioga Co., PA. He spent his later years as a farmer. He married Roxanna Ingersoll Smith on 2 Sept 1886. He was a loving father to his adopted daughter, Mildred Seely Lent Erway. She was their only child.
