William J. (Bill) Albright lived a very interesting and full life with sadness and sorrow along the way. In 1906, he married Mary Frisby. Mary was originally from McHenry Co., Illinois. They had 4 children. John, Margaret, Mary Ellen, and Donald. Mary died of a mastoid infection in August of 1922. Bill worked in Sioux Falls, South Dakota as both a teamster, and for awhile for the fire department. Bill loved to hunt and fish. In 1930 he married a widow, Sarah Murphy. She ran the Poole Hotel in Rockford, Illinois. Sarah passed away in December of 1950. Bill died the following September One of his legs had been amputated as a result of gangrine. He spent the entire summer of 1951 in Swedish American Hospital prior to his passing away on September 7. His funeral was held on a beautiful summer day a few days later.
