JANE McGREGOR

HOUSTON – Jane Woods McGregor, 75, died Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013, at Community Hospice Darlington Oaks in Verona after a long illness. She was born Jan. 21, 1938, in Jackson to R.L. Woods and Martha Crawford Woods. She was a graduate of I.A.H.S. in Fulton. She received her B.S. degree from Mississippi State University and her master's degree in Counseling from the University of LaVerne in California. She retired in 1998 after 30 years of being a teacher and guidance counselor. She was a member of the Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines at Hot Springs Village, Ark.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Houston with Bro. Patrick Collins officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Ann Kooi; one son-in-law, Keith Pounds; one daughter-in-law, Mary Ann McGregor; seven grandchildren, Amanda Spencer, Ashley Pounds, Allison Pounds, David McGregor, Matthew McGregor, Bryce

McGregor and Harley McGregor; and one great-granddaughter, Lily Belle Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James McGregor; her parents, R.L. and Martha Woods; her son, Robert David McGregor; and two daughters, Melissa English and Elizabeth Pounds.
