William H. Adams, age 74, died Sunday at 12:35 a. m., at his home, 500 south Madison street, after an illness of five months, from high blood pressure and complications. He suffered a stroke a week ago and never fully recovered.

Survivors are the wife, Mrs. Laura B. Adams, a son Richard, and a daughter, Mrs. William J. Rush, all of Bloomington. Four grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Elizabeth Dowden, sister of the deceased, died eleven months ago in Bloomington.

Mr. Adams was the last survivor of seven brothers and sister. Parents of the deceased lived on the old Adams Peach Orchard farm, on the Handy road and Mr. Adams lived there from 1898 to 1905. He then moved to the state of Nebraska, where he lived one year, after which he returned here a bought a farm on Moore's Creek, where he lived from 1906 to 1910. From the Moore's Creek farm Mr. Adams moved to Bloomington and entered the transfer business which he followed until his retirement in 1929. At the time of his death, Mr. Adams was serving as administrator of the estate of his late sister, Elizabeth.

Funeral services will be held at the home of the deceased on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with Rev. C. Howard Taylor of the local First Christian church, in charge. Mr. Adams was a member of the First Christian church.

Pallbearers will be Edward, John, James, Guy, Walter and William Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Potter, Luther Pryor, Ab Storms, Donald Bowen, Frank Southern, and Reginald Stull.

Singers of the McDoel Baptist church choir will take part in the music at the funeral. Interment will be in the Clear Creek cemetery. Until the funeral hour, the body will lie in state at the Adams home.
