Hugh Arthur Brewer, age 60 of Sautee-Nacoochee, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at his home.

Hugh was born September 8, 1952 in Marietta, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Geneva Cash and Hugh Arthur (Bill) Brewer Sr.

Hugh attended Osborne High School in Marietta, GA. He was employed at AmRep Manufacturing in Marietta, GA and Enforcer Products in Emerson, GA. He was the owner of Anchor Industrial Adhesives, Inc.He was an avid classic car lover and enjoyed flying remote control airplanes. He was the co-founder of the Sautee R.C. Club. Hugh was always a friend when there was a need.

Our dear friend Hugh Brewer has left us. A lot of Hugh will live on in his friends, who knew him for his honest, down-to-earth good nature, and for the amazing natural engineer that he was. His engineering gift was spawned by his great curiosity to figure out how things worked. His illness was one of the few puzzles he could not reverse engineer.

His friendships received equal attention and devotion, be your station in life high or low. That's why he had so many friends!

For his son, he leaves a wonderful example of how to live a life and how to treat others. For his friends, he also leaves wonderful memories that will not be forgotten.

He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Donna Brewer; son Ben Brewer; brother, Queton Lewallen; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Fred Walters; Carolyn and Jerry Switz; nieces, Stacey Hardy; Amber Latham; nephews, Steven Walters; Michael Lewallen; Jason Lewallen and John Lewallen.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 Noon Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Nacoochee United Methodist Church. The Rev. Chris Shurtz will officiate. A private family interment will be at a later date.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at the Church prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ben Allen Brewer Educational Fund at Regions Bank.
