On Francis "Frank" Michael McNamara’s official records currently available (1906 Boston Marriage Record, 1918 WW I Draft and 1942 WW II Draft Registrations) he states that he was born on Oct. 19, 1884 in New Hartford, CT. and that his parent's names are William McNamara and Margaret O'Connor. A 1884 birth record does not exist in New Hartford, CT. According to the New Hartford Town Clerk: "I can find no birth certificate for Francis Michael McNamara in the time frames suggested (1881-1885). In that period births were at home and it was not uncommon for the birth to not be registered."
