She was a native of Evans County and had lived most of her life in Evans County. She was a member of Ephesus Primitive Baptist Church.
SURVIVORS: four brothers, Tim Akins of Savannah, Reedy Akins, Edwin Akins, Elton Akins, all of Claxton, and several nieces and nephews.
