Oil City Derrick, Oct 2003:
Frances L. Flockerzi, 86, of 330 Flockerzi Road, Oil City, died at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, in UPMC Northwest, Franklin. Born July 6, 1917, in her home in Coal Hill, she was the daughter of Martin and Minnie Kapp Flockerzi.

She was a graduate of Oil City High School, worked at J&L Steel during World War II, later worked at S.S. Kresge's Store and retired from the Oil City YMCA on Seneca Street, where she was in housekeeping. She was a member of the Heckathorn United Methodist Church, a family photographer and a cat lover, especially her cat, Martha.

Surviving are a sister, Mildred Flockerzi, with whom she made her home; eight nieces and nephews, Delores Goodman and husband, Glenn, of Oil City, Judy Perry Stahlman of Seneca, Marjorie Fye and husband, Howard, of Knox, Donna Webster and husband, Willis R., of Oil City, Eugene Flockerzi and wife, Sally, of Seneca, Janet Swanson and husband, William, of Hermitage, Marilyn DeVries Charney and husband, Andy, of State College, and William Mattson and wife, Peggy, of South Carolina; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Deceased are her parents; three brothers, Homer Flockerzi, Glenn Flockerzi and Frank Flockerzi; three sisters, Gladys Mattson, Grace Perry and Ella Mae Flockerzi; and a nephew, Daryl Flockerzi.

Services at Morrison Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Ellis, pastor of the Heckathorn United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery.
