Jackie Lynn Waters, 34, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013, due to a hemorrhagic stroke.

Jackie was born on November 15, 1978, in Des Moines, to Jackie Lee and Peggy Lynn (Johnson) Waters. She graduated from Dexfield High School in 1996, and earned her Associates Degree from the University of Phoenix in 2006. Her last employer was HyVee.

Jackie was a very sentimental person. She enjoyed reminiscing about the past as well as planning for the future. She was walking the path of her very personal journey. Life was like an evolution from caterpillar to butterfly and she was in the process of that transformation when her life was cut too short. Jackie was a fun-loving person who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved animals and nature and enjoyed grilling out. Jackie was a very passionate, artistic person and will be missed by all who knew her.

Jackie is survived by her mother, Peggy; sister, Pamela Waters of Springfield, MA; sister, Tina Esquavel of Bouton, IA; sister, Christy Waters of Des Moines, IA; brother, Adam Waters of Dexter, IA; companion, Jacob Lane of Polk City, IA; seven nieces and nephews; two great-nieces; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jackie Lee, her grandparents, and three uncles.
