David Roy Anthony Estrada, was born on May 20, 1985, to George and Rebecca Estrada at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. On June 29, 2005, David's life was taken. This leaves a void that can never be filled. Our family is resolved not to allow the senseless violent and end to his life to obscure our fond and loving memories of our dear and beloved David Estrada.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Ralph Carlos Estrada and Roy Campbell.
David is survived by his parents; sisters Laura, Shawna, Andrea, Natalie, Ginger, and Victoria; brothers Ralph George, Jr., Carlos, and Raymond Estrada; and grandmothers Ruby Estrada and Edna Campbell.
David attended St. Francis Xavier Grade School and St. Mary's High School. In addition to being an accomplished athlete, David loved music and computer games which he shared with his wide circle of friends. David, a fourth-generation Phoenician, whose forebears were among the first to settle in Tempe, leaves behind an extended family including aunts, uncles, five nephews, a niece, and cousins that have been shattered, inconsolable and left to wonder what might have been.
David, on behalf of all of us who have loved you, you will always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers. We may overcome our devastating sense of loss that now engulfs us and perhaps our profound sorrow may begin to fade, but we shall never forget nor shall that love ever diminish. It is now your time to watch over us. David, please know how much we will miss you.
