Marie resided all of her life in Rockford. She was the daughter of Rudolph and Jennette Swenson. Her siblings were Mildred, John, Dorothy, and Carl. At the age of 5 she witnessed her mother perish in flames as a result of an oven cleaning mishap. She attended Rockford Public Schools and worked for a brief period of time at the National Lock Company in Rockford. On June 27, 1942, she married Donald Albright. They had 3 children, James, (1943) Neil (1949) and Jefferey (1952). Mom loved to cook and she had a hospitable nature that made all of us in the home feel both appreciated and loved. She was a faithful and loyal member of Bethesda Evangelical Covenant Church in Rockford where she was active in the Mary, Martha Circle. In 1963, she contacted Lupus. She fought a corageous battle for a number of years, but finally succumbed to the disease. She is gone, but not forgotten, living in the hearts of her family and friends.
