Drew Anthony Cummings, age 57, of Flint, Michigan, died Saturday July 27, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center from complications associated with a stroke. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 7:00PM Friday, August 9, 2013 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. The family will receive visitors from 6:00PM Friday until time of service. Drew was born May 22, 1956 in Flint the fifth child of Donald and Bernadette Cummings. After graduation from Carman High School, he worked for over 25 years at General Motors. Drew moved to Saginaw in 1998 and moved back to Flint in March, 2013. He enjoyed traveling, fishing and boating, cross country skiing, being up north, listening to country music and the Beach Boys, walking the Mackinac Bridge on Labor Day and socializing with family and friends. He loved homemade cookies. Surviving are his children, Kevin and Scott Cummings of Macomb; his parents, Donald and Bernadette Cummings of Flushing; several sisters and brothers including, Donna (James) Williams, Kay (Richard) Bushey, Barbara (Mark) Amsler, Michael (Wanda) Cummings, Matthew Cummings, Robert (Jan) Cummings, Mary (Chuck) Eckert and Joan (Steve) Medemar; and several nieces and nephews. Drew was preceded in death by his brother, Philip Cummings. Those who wish to make a donation in Drew's memory may select their favorite charity as a recipient or ask a family member for suggestions.
