Lorene Parker Redden, age 85 of Dickson, died on July 31, 2013. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4 until 8pm at the Taylor Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 3pm at the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Capps officiating. Place of rest will be in the Hutton Cemetery in White Bluff.

Mrs. Lorene was born July 17, 1928 in the Craggie Hope Community of Cheatham County. She was a Daughter of the late Ellis Parker and Lizzie Cathey Parker. She had attended the Craggie Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her Son, Mike Mays and her Brother, Leo Parker.

Mrs. Redden is survived by her Husband, Jerry Redden of Dickson; Daughter, Joyce Allen of Smyrna; 3 Sisters, Almeda Nalls of White Bluff, Bessie Green of White Bluff, Evelyn Gowin of White Bluff; Step-Children, Wayne (Debbie) McLaughlin of Nebraska, Roy (Sue) McLaughlin of Dickson, Donnie (Wanda) McLaughlin of Hendersonville, Ray (Denise) McLaughlin of Hendersonville, Chuck (Tina) McLaughlin of Hendersonville; Grandson, Joey Phillips; Several Step-Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.

Married William Howard Mays (born 1916) in Davidson County, TN on July 24, 1945.
