Lonnie B. Henderson, 87, of Grenada, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at his residence. He was born Oct. 5, 1921, in Leake County to Jettie and Jessie Virginia Lee Henderson. He was a member of Elliott Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 2:30 p.m. at Garner-Harper Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Cecil Fayard officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be this evening from 6 to 8 o'clock at Garner-Harper Funeral Home.
Mr. Henderson is survived by his wife, Peggy Pettit Henderson; one sister-in-law, Joyce Nail, and her husband Billy of Grenada; a very special nephew, Rick Ciarloni, along with his wife and two children, Carol, Emily, and Evan, all of Grenada; and caregivers, Mary Pinkney, Lisa Noel, Carol Amos, Ziffie Campbell, Lucille and Mimi Bland, and Tosha Buford. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jettie and Jessie Virginia Lee Henderson.
