MORRIS, Otis D. Otis D. Morris, 74, of Pensacola, Fl, passed away Tuesday evening, November 13, 2012, at a hospital in Springfield, Mo. Otis Darwin Morris, son of Paul Otis Morris and Dorothy Peterson, was born in Dodge Center, Iowa on May 3, 1938 and grew up in Blockton, Iowa where he graduated from Blockton High School with the class of 1956. Enlisting in U.S. Navy, he spent 20 years of dedicated service to his country.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Morris of Pensacola, Fl; predeceased by his wife, Alice Cooley Morris; his sons Paul Morris, Alexandria, Va; Dewayne Morris, Acworth, Ga; Steve Morris, Lawrenceville, Ga; his daughter, Belinda Kimsey, Cartersville, Ga; his loving sister Beverly Boerner, of Mesa, Az and six grandchildren.
Funeral services celebrating Mr. Morris' life will be held at 2:00 o'clock, Sunday, November 18th , 2012, in the chapel of Georgia Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2000 Cobb Parkway, Marietta, Georgia, 30060. Interment will follow in Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 17th, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock.
Mr. Morris was a loving son, father and husband and was proud to have been called a Navy man.
