Herbert Mikel Dies at His Home
Herbert Mikel died at 2 p. m. Wednesday at his home, 501 East Front street. He had been ill six months. The body was taken to the Murray A Carmody funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
Mr. Mikel was born at Downs in 1877, the son of Sylvanus and Hannah Mikel. For many years he was engaged in farming in that territory. Surviving are two sons, Robert, Chicago, and Travis, Bloomington; a sister, Mrs. George Craig, 501 South McClun street, and a brother, Edward, Hickman, Ky.
He was a member of the Methodist church.
