Mrs. Corneilia Whitaker, wife of Mr. R. N. Whitaker, died in Fayetteville Monday, June 18, 1900, aged 78 years. She was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church and her life was in strict accord with jer religous profession. She trusted unfalteringly in the Savior and He accompanied her through the valley of the shadow of death; His presence dispelled the gloom and made the journey to that other country one of delight. Funeral service was conducted at the residence Monday afternoon by Revs. Grammer and Harrell, after which the remains were buried at Rose Hill.
