Mona Lou "Pat" Patterson was born to Ray and Ethel Patterson, joining an older sister, Annabelle and a brother, Gerald (Jerry) Patterson, who all preceded her in death.
Her parents divorced and later her father married Hazel Graves, giving her two stepsisters Katy Barnard and Geraldine (Gerry) Turner and stepbrother Jack Graves.
She attended school in Emmett until graduating Emmett High School with the class of 1949. She then graduated from Stephens College and the University of Arizona. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and numerous campus organizations.
Pat was head of the physical education department at Palo Verde High School in Tucson. She taught physical education and coached the girls volleyball team to many successful seasons. She loved golf and belonged to the "Dorado Swingers" and also the ladies golf club at her summer home at Pinetop Lakes.
Pat was a master joke-teller and never knew a stranger.
You never needed a party when she was around - she made every situation a party.
We will always remember her as being fun and a forever friend.
She is survived by her longtime partner Joan Lackie, Tuscon and a nephew and family of Pensacola, Fla.
