SCHMIDT, III, CHRISTIAN, 67 - of Eldora, died Tuesday morning at home after a 7-month battle with cancer.
Born in Millville, he was the son of the late Christian and Hattie Noon Schmidt and the husband of Florence Santangelo Schmidt.
Mr. Schmidt was a graduate of Middle Twp. High School Class of 1958.
He began working at Armstrong Cork as a Mold Maker for 12 years, then went to Wheaton Glass Company and worked there until he retired in 2002.
Christian was a member of the Dennis Twp. Environmental Committee and the Dennis Twp. Senior Center where he enjoyed playing bingo and pinochle. He was a member of the Eldora United Methodist Church.
Christian enjoyed traveling with his wife.
He is survived by his wife of almost 46 years, & his daughters.
He was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Robinson.
Funeral services will be held at the Hoffman Funeral Homes 643 Main St., Leesburg on Friday September 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in Eldora Methodist Cemetery. Viewings will be held Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
