John Tyler Abbey
Graveside services for John Tyler Abbey, 53, of Jackson, who died of heart failure Monday, Feb. 19, 2001, at Central Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, were held at 3 p.m. today at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County.
Mr. Abbey was born in Greenwood and had been a resident of Jackson for eight years. He was disabled.
He is survived by two brothers, Walter Abbey of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dan Abbey of Pensacola, Fla.; and one sister, Doll Ricks of Carrollton.
The Rev. Joseph Sansing officiated at the services.
