DIED:--at her home in Chadron this morning, Mrs. Agnes Pope (nee McNamara), aged thirty one years.

The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael McNamara, pioneer settlers of Beemer township and a sister of Rev. William McNamara of Omaha.

She was a young woman of splendid character and splendid accomplishments. She possessed mental power beyond the ordinary and had a charm of manner and rare sweetness of disposition.

To be cut down, having just passed the threshold of noble womanhood is, indeed, a sad blow to husband, parents and friends. It is a dispensation of Providence difficult of comprehension.

Services and interment at Wisner, Monday, at 10 a.m. In accordance with her wishes, Dean Ruesing will officiate.

The Republican offers condolences.--West Point Republican

Mrs. Pope was a first cousin of Rev. J.G. McNamara of Bloomfield and a schoolmate of Mrs. W.H. Green Of Creighton. The latter went to Wisner, Monday morning to attend the funeral.

For sometime sorrowing relatives and friends and neighbors have watched the dreaded white plaque gaining in its work of destruction on this one of the fairest flowers that ever bloomed in Nebraska.

Agnes was beautifully resigned for the past two years. Those who saw her in that time have come away feeling they had a dim vision of the world beyond.
