Mrs. Emma Mercer, wife of John Mercer, died at her home, in this place, Thursday morning.
Funeral services occurred at the M. E. Church, of which she was a member, on Saturday morning, conducted by Rev. C. L. Winget, who preached a very able sermon from the 15th chapter of Jeremiah and 9th verse.
The remains were taken to the Hulitt Cemetery for interment, followed by a large concourse of friends.
