ADVANCE- Mary Louise O'Leary Koach, 93, died on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Bermuda Village in Advance.
She was born in New Castle, PA to the late John Vincent and Helen Travers O'Leary and moved to North Carolina in 1968 with her late husband, Harold G. Koach, when he became hospital administrator at Forsyth Memorial Hospital.
The Koachs lived in Pfafftown until 1997 when they moved to Bermuda Village.
She is preceded in death by her husband, one sister, Eileen O'Leary Morrison, and a great-granddaughter, Scarlett Terilli.
Survivors include three daughters, Kathy Coghill and husband Jim of Clemmons, Colleen Berson and husband Jeffrey of Farmington Hills, MI, and Debbie Cranford and husband Jim of Durham; one son, Jack Koach and wife Jennifer of Kiawah Island, SC; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Winston-Salem with Father Brian J. Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park in Winston-Salem.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care Center (Davie Location) 377 Hospital St., Suite 103, Mocksville, NC 27028 or to Crisis Control Ministry, 200 E. 10th St., Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
The family would like to thank the staff at The Pavilion of Bermuda Village for their compassionate care and support for the last six years.
