SALISBURY - Jacquoline Basham Light, 77, passed away Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at Magnolia Gardens Estates.

Mrs. Light was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Kanawha County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Roy Daniel and Ethel Ball Basham. A graduate of East Bank High School in East Bank, W.Va., she was a homemaker who loved singing, jewelry making and bowling. In her younger years, she won many trophies for her bowling skills.

Mrs. Light was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses for 26 years and helped bring her whole family into the truth.

Survivors include her husband, Gene Lee Light, Sr., whom she married in 1950; son Gene L. Light. Jr. and wife Carol of Salisbury; daughter Victoria Fay Light of Salisbury; two grandsons, Samuel Ray Abbott and wife Amber of Salisbury and Corey Lee Abbott of Salisbury; one brother, Ray Basham of Cleveland, Ohio; and three sisters, Maxine O'Neil and Fletta Cooper of Charleston, W.Va., and Mary Foss of Laguna Woods, Calif.

Service: Memorial Services will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Salisbury North Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Spencer, conducted by Brother Kevin Graff.
