Amy Lynn Clark, 29, of Williston, ND, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011, in Williston, ND.

Amy was born March 15, 1982 in Williston. She is the daughter of Alan and Julie (Selby) Clark. She is affectionately known to the family as "Meemer". She was raised in Williston where she attended Wilkinson Elementary and Williston High School. She earned her GED and went on to complete the CNA program through Williston State College. Gloria Dei Lutheran Church was her spiritual home.

During her youth, Amy enjoyed taking tap dance classes at Ramona's Dance Studio and performing for friends and family. Also, she was blessed with a beautiful singing voice. She qualified to perform with the State Honor's Choir while in Junior High.

Amy was a very sociable young lady and had many interests and passions. For a time, she was employed at Bethel Lutheran Home and The Kensington. It was not uncommon to see her visiting with the residents well after her shift had ended. She loved all the history they had to share. She was even known to go on an "ice cream run" when the residents had the hankering. Although she loved working with the residents, her true desire was to be an at-home mom to her "Lil Honey Bear", Landon John. She loved every moment spent with him…he was her sunshine and light!

She also had a love for music. When she was under any stress, she would climb in the car, turn on the music and drive! She also loved listening and sharing her music with friends. Her love of music helped her achieve "star-power" when playing guitar hero and turned heads when she sang karaoke. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, jet-skiing, and traveling. Her favorite vacation spot was the Yellowstone National Park where she had fond memories of her time spent with her "Nany and Papa". She also was compassionate, kind to and very respectful of people in need and animals. She was a very good sister to her brother, Matt, and sister, Kim.

She leaves her loving family: her two-and-a half year old son, Landon John; mom and dad, Julie and Alan Clark of Williston; sister, Kim Clark of Williston; brother Matthew Clark of Williston and his son, Huntley; her Nany and Papa, Jerry and Linda Selby of Williston; Aunts and uncles, Mike (Shelly) Selby of Woodbury, MN, Glen (Dee) Clark, Kevin (Mariann) Clark and Scott (Lisa) Clark, all of Williston; and several cousins.

She was preceded in death by her "Papa" John Clark.

Memorials may be directed to the Landon Sim Scholarship Fund, 1207 University, Williston, ND 58801.
