Mr. Larry J. Clinkscales of New London was born to the late Albert Leonard and Gladys Ethyl Hugghins Clinkscales. He married Marjorie Joann James, April 22, 1960, in New London and lived in the Kilgore/New London area for 53 years. He was instrumental in starting the New London Volunteer Fire Department and served as a volunteer fireman. Larry was a member of the New London City Council for 23 years and retired from East Texas Salt Water Disposal Company.

He was a longtime coach for the summer baseball league and was an awesome Dad. He was a member of London Baptist Church, where he served as leader for the missionary program. He was also director of the adult Sunday School Department and taught both Training Union and Sunday School for many years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Clinkscales was preceded in death by two brothers, Douglas Lynn Clinkscales and Tommy Clifton Clinkscales, and and by two sisters, Billie Ruth Silvertooth and Lounette Wilkins.
