Marcia G. Neely, 61, of 3673 Amity Lane, Monroe, died Saturday evening Jan. 8, 2000, in the Hospice Unit of Mercy Hospital. She was born in Middletown, Nov. 15, 1938, a daughter of John H. and Arlene (Williamson) Brate and was a lifelong resident. She has been active in Cub and Boy Scouts and with Youth Soccer and Little League Baseball. She was a longtime member of the Grace Baptist Church and worked in the Middletown Christian Preschool there. She is survived by her husband, James W. Neely Sr.; a daughter, Margaret A. LaTour of Middletown; three sons, James W. Neely, Jr. of Cincinnati, John L. Neely of Middletown, and Thomas M. Neely of Kalamazoo, Mich.; her mother, Arlene Brate; six grandchildren, John L. Pressler, James M. Pressler, Adam M. LaTour, Emily M. Musgrove Neely, Caleb W. Musgrove Neely, and Cameron T. Neely; a sister, Jackie Stewart; and a brother, John Henry Brate, Jr. Her father preceded her in death in 1983.
ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home, with Pastor Roger Green officiating. Burial will follow in Grace Memorial Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
