GLEASON: Robert Elihu McDaniel, 65, died Sunday, March 5, at Volunteer Community Hospital in Martin. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 7, at 2:00 p.m., at New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Johnny Well officiating. Interment will follow in New Bethel Cemetery in Henry. McKenzie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McDaniel was born February 17, 1941, in Henry, to the late Fred and Ivy "Valley" McDaniel. He was a former employee of Boral Bricks and a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Henry. Survivors include his wife, Linda Crocker McDaniel; two daughters, Connie Fay Smith of Martin and Blinda "Lynnie" Suratt of Dresden; two sons, Robert Dwayne McDaniel of Gleason and Tracy Lee McDaniel of Greenfield; one step-son, Aaron Tegethoff of Bolivar, Missouri; four sisters, Sarrah Mae Wallace of Clarksville, Louciel Brummitt of Gleason, Ivy Nell Quinn of McKenzie, and Betty Sue Burchem of Murray, Kentucky; three brothers, Harlon McDaniel of McKenzie, Freddie Lee McDaniel Sr. of Greenfield, and Joe McDaniel of McKenzie; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren, and 14 step-great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Henry, Tennessee.
