Walter Edward Sadler II, 62, of North Little Rock passed away May 29, 1999. He came to Little Rock from Lake Charles, La., in 1960, where he began his 40 year career in radio and television known to many as "Ron Owens" for KAAY. He served with several charitable organizations with children, one of which was Channel 11's Santa Claus. He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He retired from KAAY Gospel Station in February of 1999.

He is survived by one son, Walter Edward "Trey" Sadler III of Little Rock; one daughter, Paige Sadler of Dallas; and three sisters, Evelyn Porter of Youngstown, Ohio, Helen McElivery of Greensville, S.C., and Dorothy D'Water of Bossier City, La.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Michael Sadler.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 1999, in Forrest Hills Memorial Park. Visitatin will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Huson Funeral Home, 6400 Mabelvale Pike, Little Rock, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. The family will also be at 8101 Cantrell Road #401, Little Rock.
