In 1911 he came to St. Johnsbury, Vt. and was employed at the Fairbanks Co. where he worked until two weeks previous to his death.
On June 2, 1914 he married Exilia Sevigny of Sherbrook,P.Q.
Four children were born to this union. Mr. Cowens was a devoted husband and father, a kind neighbor and friend interested in the welfare of everyone.
Mr.Cowens is survived by his wife Exilia, his daughter Sister Andrew (Elsie) Cowens of the Ascention of Huntingdon, P.Q. and his son, Andrew R. Cowens of town.
Four brothers, William,James,Edward,and Frederick. Three sisters, Grace,Ida,and Imogene.
He was predeceased by his parents, One brother George and his two children Rena and Leo.
