Lewis H. Barnes, age 88, Cladorbon Drive, Cynthiana, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Harrison Memorial Hospital. Born in Harrison County, March 28, 1925, to the late George and Marjorie Barnes, he was a retired truck driver and a United States World War II Army Veteran. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Deborah Ann Barnes and Frances Louise Siegel and a son-in-law, Joseph Robert "Joe" England.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy Barnes; a daughter, Vickie L. Barnes England, Cynthiana; a sister, Sarah L. Magee, Harrison County; six grandchildren, Mara (Chris) Mischel, Angie (Eric) Lohman, Debbie Siegel, Stefanie (Mark) Taylor, Robert England and David England and seven great grandchildren: Abi Lohman, Nathan Lohman, Coleman Mischel, Will Mischel, Van Taylor, Mark Taylor and Makenzie Taylor.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. Sunday. Burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery.
